The Hostel caters to couples, families, individual backpackers from around the world, and is ideal for groups. With our village of 6 buildings in one block, 130 dorm beds, 40+ private rooms & 2 apartments, we can make most requests work for your group of adults or youth!
Group Center
Our Group Center has its own kitchen, dining and meeting space, and offers dorms and private rooms for leaders. We can accommodate groups from 8 to 100, depending on availability.
Our Hostel Cafe can cater meals and provide sack lunches, or you can make your own meals in the group center kitchen. The cafe is open early mornings to late night serving homemade, locally sourced American classics. Plus 8 local beers, 2 ciders, wine and kombucha on tap.

The Northwest Portland International Hostel is centrally located in Portland’s Historic Northwest Neighborhood, just 3 blocks to the Pearl Arts District and 15 minute walk to downtown

Tours
Tours available through Eco Tours of Oregon depart from hostel, going to Mt. St. Helens volcano, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Oregon Coast. Group Coordinator can arrange tours with tour operator. A walking tour of Portland leaves the hostel a few times each week.
Itinerary Planning
After years of experience in group lodging, we are happy to assist you with planning or suggesting workshops for your group, helping to create an itinerary, recommend group friendly restaurants and bars, give info about group discounts in Portland, or ideas and recipes for group cooking.
Office hours and check-in/out times
Our office is open 7am to 11pm, everyday
Rooms are ready for check in by 3pm (sometimes earlier)
Check out is 12 noon
